If you’ve followed this blog from the beginning, you know that the quintessentially-British brand Boden really speaks my language—both literally and figuratively.  Their classic, tailored, feminine silhouettes with just the right amount of color and quirk never disappoint.  It’s this commitment to timeless British style that has me coming back again and again (perhaps a little too often), and their spring collection is no exception.  Every single piece is both easy-to-wear yet perfectly polished—a chord the Brits always manage to strike—and at an cost effective price to boot.

For today’s garden party theme of the ongoing 30 dresses in 30 Days series, it seemed apt to go with a favorite British brand and a classic, airy silhouette.  The vintage-inspired chambray midi dress is one of those dresses that would look as perfect at a dressy garden party or ladies luncheon as it would heading to weekend brunch or a day at the beach.  Of course, it’s the details that make the dress—the white broderie anglaise embroidery and scalloped sleeves?  I’m a goner.  It’s likely no surprise that the red version is currently in my shopping cart.
